Leona Learns Charity

Dear friends,

As our daughter turns 4 next month, and sources on Milestones Development mention that children age 4:

  • Like to talk and carry on elaborate conversations; they ask who, what, when, where, and especially why questions
  • Practice outdoor activities
  • Develop their growing interest in academic things, such as science and mathematics, and activities that involve exploring and investigating
  • Stretch their imaginations and curiosity
  • Need to learn to get along with others, because children who are kind, helpful, patient and loving do better at school

Parents with children age 4 are encouraged to:

  • Set a good example
  • Make opportunities to share and to care

Therefore, we plan to take her to celebrate her 4th birthday with the children who are in need. We want her to learn that birthdays are not always about receiving gifts but can be about giving too. We want her to learn to be thankful, care and loving.

We invite you (and your kids) to participate in this charity either by:

  • Donating used/old clothes, toys, books, dolls, etc. (we welcome donations from outside Jogja and any names/institutions to be mentioned as donators)
  • Joining us during the visit on Sunday, August 16, 2015 (time, meeting point, rundown: TBA)

Activities (PIC: @desynugroho):

  • Meet and greet
  • Sing and dance
  • Storytelling
  • Group activities
  • Etc.
